Mintos, a Riga, Latvia-based peer-to-peer lending marketplace, raised €2m in seed funding.
Skillion Ventures, a Riga-based venture capital firm, made the investment.
The company intends to use the funds for product development, team growth, and European expansion.
Co-founded by CEO Martins Sulte and CFO Martins Valters, Mintos is a peer-to-peer lending marketplace that connects investors and borrowers of non-bank loan originators. On the platform, investors can invest in different types of loans originated by many different loan originators including business loans, car loans, invoices, mortgage loans, and personal loans.
The marketplace is currently used by more than 4500 investors from 40+ countries.
