Matrix Partners China Closes €500M Fourth Venture Capital Fund

matrix-logoMatrix Partners China, the Chinese arm of U.S. venture capital firm Matrix Partners, closed a €500m fund.

According to a regulatory filing with the S.E.C., Matrix Partners China IV, L.P., has received support from 42 investors.

Founded in 2008, Matrix Partners China focuses on making seed-stage and later-stage investments being the largest non-management shareholder in Internet & Mobile, Healthcare, Consumer and Services and Cleantech companies.
The firm’s initial investment is generally between $1m and $10m with follow-on investments to come over the life of a company, depending on its needs.

The team of Matrix Partners China, based in Beijing, is comprised by David Zhang, Bo Shao, David Su, Michael Zuo, Harry Man, Min Xiao, Alex Cong, Huadong Wang, Kun Qian, Eric Yu, Kevin Xiong, Samuel Huang, Claire Lin, Pal Feng, Claire Zhang, Lixiong Niu, Zhuyan Li, Song Mei, Bakari Xia, Kevin Zhang, Zhiying Chai, Shanshan Wang, Qingdi Zhou and Christa Deng.
