Iron.io Raises $3.5M in Series A Funding, Now Totalling $11.5M

Iron.ioIron.io, a San Francisco, CA-based provider of enterprise-grade job processing solutions, raised $3.5m in funding.

Sapphire Ventures made the investment that extended its Series A funding round to $11.5m and joined Baseline Ventures, Bain Capital Ventures, Divergent Ventures, Ignition Partners and Cloud Capital Partners.

The company, which had announced its $8m Series A round in September 2015, will use the funds to expand its feature set and fuel its growth in the enterprise market.

Led by CEO and Co-founder Chad Arimura, Iron.io provides a job processing platform that delivers and processes 100s of millions of messages and tasks every day. Its microservices architecture, delivered via Docker containers, enables innovative companies (such as Turner, Twitter, HotelTonight, Untappd, and Google) to bring products and services to market faster and increase revenue through enterprise-grade job processing solutions. Its asynchronous workloads operate in public and private clouds, on-premises, or hybrid environments.
