HI-FI, a Ponte Vedra, Florida-based creator of a mobile lifestyle network, raised $3m in seed funding.
Backers included friends, family and local angel investors.
The company will use the funds to finalize the development of the network and bring it to market.
Led by Winder Hughes, founder and CEO, HI-FI is advancing The Mobile Lifestyle Network®, a new Interest-Driven Network (IDN) where members create, join and contribute to user-curated communities based on their interests. Selected content flows to member’s personalized newsfeeds, enabling micro-communities with shared passions to form around mutual affinities.
The IDN is built on the Interest Graph, which tracks what a consumer has expressed an interest in and allows insights to be made based on their demonstrated tastes, as opposed to the Social Graph, which maps who they know and makes inferences from what those people like.
