Gorgias Raises $1.5M in Seed Funding

gorgias_logoGorgias, a NY-based helpdesk software built to provide support at scale, raised $1.5m in seed funding.

Backers included Charles River Ventures, Amplify Partners and Kima Ventures.

The company intends to use the funds to hire new people and continue to build the product.

Co-founded by Romain Lapeyre, CEO, and Alex Plugaru, CTO, Gorgias is building a helpdesk that combines machine learning and integrations with the tools the company already uses (Salesforce, Paypal, etc.) to automatically suggest agents how to solve support request. They only need to approve the suggestion to solve it. Started as an add-on product for customer support, today the tool is used by 11,000 users.
Customers include Classpass, Plated and Stripe.

The company was accelerated within Techstars NYC in 2015.
