Edyn Raises Funding Round Led by Fenox VC

edyn_logoEdyn, an Oakland, CA-based provider of a smart mobile management garden system, secured an undisclosed amount of funding.

The round was led by Fenox Venture Capital with participation from Ideabulb Ventures, Morningside Group, Indicator Ventures and angel investors.

The company intends to use the funds to support the retail rollout of the Water Valve, develop new products, access commercial industries and expand internationally, beginning with the Japanese market. It is hiring in Oakland.

Led by CEO and Founder Jason Aramburu and accelerated within Y Combinator, Edyn provides a smart garden system, comprising the solar-powered, Wi-Fi-enabled Garden Sensor and Water Valve, a smart irrigation controller that connects with existing watering systems to deliver the right amount of water to plants without waste.
Edyn will be available to farmers and industries in Japan via partnerships with companies like Innotech, which is in discussions to localize and distribute the company’s system in the country. It also plans to expand to other countries in Asia and throughout Europe.

Commenting on the investment, Brent Traidman, General Partner, Fenox Venture Capital said: “We look forward to continuing the partnership that we’ve had with Edyn since its Y Combinator days to help expand in this fecund market and beyond.”
