Contently Acquires Docalytics

Contently_LogoContently, a NYC-based provider of a content marketing platform, acquired Docalytics, a marketing and sales analytics company, for an undisclosed sum.

Based in St. Paul, Minn., Docalytics provides sales and marketing professionals at B2B companies with detailed data on how people engage with downloadable content like PDFs and sales materials.

With the acquisition of Docalytics, Contently will gain access to Insight Engine™, the company’s proprietary tracking and analytics software, which Engine™ will be integrated into Contently’s existing analytics suite, providing customers with one centralized location for tracking, managing, and optimizing content production and performance.
The Docalytics team, led by CEO and co-founder Evan Carothers, will operate as employees of Contently’s Midwest office, focused on growing the company’s engineering team and customer base.

Founded in New York City in 2010 by Joe Coleman, Shane Snow, and David T. Goldberg, Contently provides enterprise companies with technology, content marketing expertise, and operates a network of creative professionals comprised of 55,000 journalists, photographers, designers, and videographers.
The company also has offices in London and San Francisco.
