Waldo Photos, an Austin, Texas-based photo-finding platform company, closed their $5m seed funding round.
The round was led by Upfront Ventures.
The company intends to use the funds to continue to develop the platform.
Founded by Rodney Rice and Michael Beaudoin, Waldo Photos is advancing a photo-finding platform that leverages a combination of facial recognition, GPS, time and album code matching to allow consumers to receive every photo taken by others to their smartphone.
The platform is currently in closed beta.
