Thrive Feeding, a San Diego, CA-based baby feeding tech company, raised $500k in funding.
The investors were not disclosed.
The company intends to use the funds to bring its devices to market.
Founded by Brian Wadsworth and Kent Smith, Thrive Feeding has developed a patent pending technology that consists of a feeding bottle augmented by an electronics sensor module which captures and transmits detailed, real-time milk consumption data to a supporting mobile app. The data provided by the feeders will allow better understanding of the feeding capability and performance of individual babies and the development of healthy feeding standards and treatments.
Currently in development, the company’s products will be released in 2016.
