StorageCraft Technology Corporation, a Draper, Utah-based provider of backup and recovery software, received a $187m investment from global growth private equity firm TA Associates.
In conjunction with the investment, Jonathan W. Meeks, a Managing Director at TA Associates, will join StorageCraft’s Board of Directors along with TA Associates’ Managing Director Jason P. Werlin.
The company intends to use the funds to continue to grow operations.
Founded in 2003 and led by new CEO and Chairman Matt Medeiros and Vice President of Marketing and Business Development Curt James, StorageCraft provides small to medium-sized businesses with backup, disaster recovery, system migration, virtualization and data protection solutions for servers, desktops and laptops on Windows and Linux platforms.
The company’s software solutions are available in traditional on-premise license form through more than 8,000 value-added resellers, and on a subscription basis through approximately 3,100 managed service providers (MSPs). In addition, StorageCraft is an original equipment manufacturer (OEM) for a number of third-party backup and recovery solution providers.
StorageCraft has European headquarters in Cork, Ireland, and regional offices around the world.
