Splice Machine Secures $9M in Funding

Backers included Correlation Ventures, Mohr Davidow Ventures, and Interwest Partners.

The company, which has raised approximately $31m since its inception, will use the funding to accelerate customer traction.

Led by Monte Zweben, co-founder and CEO, Splice Machine provides a relational database management system (RDBMS) powered by Hadoop and Spark. Leveraging in-memory technology from Spark and scale-out capabilities from Hadoop and a hybrid architecture and advanced resource isolation, the company’s product aims to replace Oracle® and MySQL™ databases, while increasing performance.
