Foster City, CA-based venture capital firm Scale Venture Partners closed its fifth fund at $335M.
Limited partners in Scale Venture Partners V include pension funds, financial institutions, foundations, funds of funds and family offices worldwide. It follows the firm’s previous fund, Scale Venture Partners IV, which closed at $300M fund in May 2013.
Managed by Stacey Bishop, Kate Mitchell, Rory O’Driscoll, Andy Vitus, and Ariel Tseitlin, the fund will invest about $5-25M in companies in such areas as Big Data, Cloud and Mobile Infrastructure, Cyber-Security, Digital Marketing, DevOps, Developer Services, Enterprise Collaboration and Machine Learning and Automation. It focuses on enterprise software companies which have early traction with customers and are ready to accelerate sales and marketing for faster growth.
The firm, which currently has$1.85B in assets under management, has invested in Box, Chef, Cloudhealth, DataStax, Demandbase, DocuSign, ExactTarget, HubSpot, PubNub, Omniture and WalkMe, among others.
