PushDoctor Raises $8.5 M in Funding

pushdoctor_logoPushDoctor, a Stourbridge, UK-based online medicine startup, raised $8.5 M in funding.

The round was led by Draper Esprit and Oxford Capital Partners with participation from Partech Ventures.

PushDoctor.co.uk plans to use the investment to strengthen its brand position as category leader, carry out further product innovations, expand the business’s management structure, including making key marketing and product hires and to further its industry-connectivity; offering patients a simpler and more powerful set of routes into the healthcare eco-system.

Founded in 2013 and led by Eren Ozagir, CEO, PushDoctor has developed a platform, regulated by the Care Quality Commission and commissioned by the NHS to allow patients to consult GPs online (on the web, tablet or mobile phone) at any time of the day, at an accessible cost.
The registration is free while a a 10-minute session with a doctor costs £25, prescriptions are £4.50 and referral letters or fit for work notes are £12.50.
PushDoctor’s GP marketplace currently includes more than 7000 GPs.
