PeopleMatter Appoints George Mackie as CEO

george-mackiePeopleMatter, a Charleston, SC-based provider of a workforce management platform designed specifically for service-industry brands, appointed George Mackie as its new CEO.

Mackie was previously a venture partner at venture capital firm Noro-Moseley Partners, working with entrepreneurs to create and manage high growth. He previously held the role of president and CEO of Insource Contract Services, a performance management company specializing in internally outsourced contract services, following his role as venture partner with investment firm Wakefield Group.
He also founded DBS Systems Corporation, the exclusive provider of billing and customer care services for DIRECTv, Inc. and served as its CEO.

Founded in 2009, PeopleMatter provides more than 47,000 individual store locations with cloud-based workforce solutions and business analytics tools to manage hourly and salaried workforces and improve employee engagement, increase retention and lower operational costs.
The company has raised over $50m in vc from such investors as C&B Capital, Harbert Venture Partners, Intersouth Partners, Morgenthaler Ventures, Noro-Mosley Partners, Scale Venture Partners, and Silicon Valley Bank.

With Mackie, PeopleMatter aims to continue to introduce new innovative solutions and expand operations.
