MyMusicTaste Raises $10m in Series A Funding

mymusictaste_logoMyMusicTaste, a Seoul, Korea-based fan initiated concert making platform, reportedly raised $10m in Series A funding.

The round was led by Softbank Ventures Korea, with participation from Samsung Ventures, Golden Gate Ventures, Formation 8, Bokwang Ventures Investment, Partners Investment, Timewise Investment, and DT Capital.

Created by JJS Media, which is led by CEO Ethan Lee, CTO Jinwook Baek and Promoter Candice Kim, MyMusicTaste aims to fulfill the international demand for K-POP artists by enabling the organization of live music concerts, which are initiated by fans from all around the world.
It works by allowing fans to request their favorite artist to the city of their choice and state at how much they’re willing to pay to see that artist and artists and promoters to engage fans for real-time data.
The company is profitable through ticket sales, profit sharing of tours taking place globally.
