Fugue (formerly known as Luminal), a Frederick, MD-based startup developing an operating system for cloud computing, raised $20m in Series C financing round.
The company, which has raised total financing to $34m, also announced its rebranding to Fugue [few-g], which is the name of its cloud operating system.
Led by Josh Stella, founder and CEO, Fugue is advancing an operating system for cloud computing which aims to simplify operations by building, enforcing, and optimizing cloud infrastructure, continuously and automatically.
It can be used to operate cloud-native workloads and to migrate and run traditional datacenter applications in the cloud. It will initially operate workloads on Amazon Web Services.
Founded in 2012, the company also has offices in Washington, DC, San Francisco, and New York City.
