Collabco, a Liverpool, UK-based provider of software for the education sector, received a further £450k in third round of funding.
Backers included The North West Fund for Venture Capital, managed by Enterprise Ventures, and The North West Fund for Digital & Creative, managed by AXM.
The company, which has raised over £1.3m in total, will use the funds to grow its sales and marketing efforts and allow for continued development of the software.
Launched in 2011 and led by Executive Chairman Jim Chambers, Collabco provides myday, a system that enables universities, schools and colleges to present students with all the information they need in the form of an app, to view timetables and learning materials, access library and other services and make payments via their mobile or laptop.
The softare is now in use at 12 higher education institutions throughout the UK. Recent customer wins include Falmouth, Highlands & Islands and Wolverhampton universities.
