Vertex Ventures, a Palo Alto, CA-based early stage venture capital firm, closed its maiden fund at $150.9m.
According to a regulatory filing with the S.E.C., 43 unnamed investors participated in the offering.
Led by General partners Jonathan Heiliger and Ins Sik Rhee, the firm invests in companies developing next generation solutions in the areas of digital media technology and applications, fixed and mobile broadband, enterprise IT and infrastructure, and greentech.
Vertex has already invested in PerimeterX, a startup developing next generation cloud security solution and Hedvig, a developer of a software defined storage platform that enables enterprises to operate a resilient storage system for the today’s datacenter.
