Verlocal, a San Francisco, CA-based marketplace for experiences, closed a $2.65m seed funding round.
The round was led by VenturesLab and Seven Seas Partners.
The company intends to use the funds to ramp up its growth and traction.
Led by Will Lee, founder and CEO, Verlocal operates an open marketplace where anyone can host or participate in experiences, such as cooking classes, outdoor activities or arts and crafts projects. The platform is available in nine major cities in the U.S. including San Francisco, New York, Los Angeles, Chicago and Seattle.
