uMake Raises $5.2M in Funding

umakeuMake, a San Francisco, CA-based maker of a mobile app that empowers designers to express concepts in 3D, raised $5.2m in funding.

The round was led by BlueRun Ventures, with participation from UpWest Labs, Brian McClendon, and Noam Bardin.

The company will use the funds to hire developers and expand the product.

Launched in 2014 by Evi Meyer, CEO, and Erik Sapir, CTO, uMake makes an app that allows designers to express any concept (drawings, doodles, sketches) in In 3D, and leverages the power of the iPad and its touchscreen to transform the experience.
