Trustlook Closes $17M Series A Funding

logo_trustlookTrustlook Inc., a San Jose, CA-based global mobile security provider for the Android platform, closed a $17m Series A round of funding.

The round was led by Trustbridge Partners, with participation from new investors Sparkland Ventures and Linear Capital Partners, as well as existing investor Danhua Capital.

The company will use the funds to accelerate product development.

Founded in 2013 by Chief Executive Officer Allan Zhang, Trustlook provides APT (advanced persistent threat) mobile security solutions to detect and address zero-day vulnerabilities and advanced malware, which identify vulnerabilities before they become a problem, through forensics, security testing, malware analysis, endpoint protection and mobile intelligence data.
The company recently launched an anti-rootkit tool on Android, as a solution for the increasing number of rooting attacks on the Android platform.
