SimilarWeb, the Israeli company providing the research tool that allows people to discover traffic insights for any website, acquired Quettra, a Mountain View-based Mobile App Intelligence platform provider.
The amount of the deal was not disclosed, Reports said it can be around $10m.
Founded by Ankit Jain, former head of Search and Discovery for Google Play, the acquisition and subsequent integration of Quettra’s people and technology will allow SimilarWeb to address the challenges facing app developers delivering direct measurements to better understand their own users.
Quettra’s technology has already enabled developers to build customer personas, inferring demographics coverings language, age, gender, personal interests, and favorite brands and gives app makers the opportunity to benchmark performance across industries.
