Shoes of Prey, a Santa Monica, Calif.-based platform that allows women design and order custom shoes, raised $15m in Series B funding.
The round was led by Australian Blue Sky Capital with participation from Greycroft Partners, Nordstrm and existing investor Khosla Ventures.
Founded by Michael Fox, Mike Knapp and Jodie Fox in Sydney, Australia, in 2009, Shoes of Prey operates a website where people can design their own shoes. It allows users to choose the shape, colour and size of shoes. The company then makes them according to specifications and ships anywhere in the world in around four weeks.
Shoes of Prey’s headquarters is currently located in Los Angeles with operations in its home town of Sydney, Australia. The production takes place in China while customer support is based in Makati, Philippines and affiliates in Japan and Russia.
The company currently has a store in Australia and six in the United States with plans to open additional locations in the coming years.
