Purse, a San Francisco, CA-based Bitcoin e-commerce startup, raised $1m in seed funding.
The round was led by Barry Silbert’s Digital Currency Group.
The company intends to use the funds to continue to build the platform and expand operations. It is hiring.
Led by Andrew Lee, CEO, and Kent Liu, CTO, Purse operates a marketplace for Bitcoin which allows over 65,000 users to buy and sell items on Amazon using bitcoins.
The company had raised $300k in November from Roger Ver, Bobby Lee and Terrence Yang, FundersClub and StrongVC.
