Looking Glass Investments (LGI), a Milwaukee, Wisconsin-based fixed-income alternative investment firm focused on marketplace lending, received an equity investment from Main Street Capital Corporation (NYSE:MAIN).
The amount of the deal was not disclosed.
The company will use the proceeds for the ongoing development of its underwriting technology, data management, and investment research process.
Led by Matthew O’Malley, President and Chief Operating Officer, Looking Glass Investments manages a series of proprietary fixed-income alternative investment strategies for accredited investors and institutions. Founded in 2006 to research marketplace lending, and investing since 2012, the firm seeks to generate income with low volatility via statistical and mathematical models researched, developed and maintained by PhD economists, mathematicians and experienced financial professionals.
