LifeSite Raises $500K; Closes $5M Series A Funding

lifesite-tagLifeSite, a San Francisco, CA-based provider of a digital assets protection platform, raised an additional $500k in funding and closed its $5M Series A round.

It follows the recently announced $4.5m initial round. One of the additional investors to close out the round is Michael Dan, the former chairman, president and CEO of The Brink’s Company. Dan also joined LifeSite as an advisor.

Led by Chris Wong, CEO, LifeSite provides a smart web-based digital storage solution for individuals, families and “life networks” to store, organize and access the most important information in their life, anywhere by combining secure file access and controlled, permission-based sharing with document encryption and security.
A companion LifeSite Vault mobile app is available for download on all popular mobile operating systems, including Apple iOS, and Android.

The company also announced other advisors including Teddy Zee, technology startup mentor and executive producer of “The Pursuit of Happyness”, television journalist Lisa Ling, currently executive producer and host of THIS IS LIFE on CNN; Jerry Rice, NFL Hall of Fame wide receiver and three-time Super Bowl champion; and Morgan Wright, internationally recognized expert on cybersecurity strategy.
