Farmobile, a Kansas City, MO-based tech company specializing in farm data, completed a $5.5m Series A round of funding.
The round was led by Anterra Capital.
The company will use the funds to develop and distribute new modules on top of its platform.
Led by founder and CEO Jason Tatge, Farmobile allows farmers to collect, store, manage and monetize their agricultural data by providing:
– hardware that simplifies data collection from farm machinery and
– software that provides real-time decision support for planting, spraying, fertilization, harvest, fleet management, etc.
The company also announced a strategic partnership with DTN/The Progressive Farmer, which is connecting Farmobile’s platform to weather stations to provide farmers with targeted weather alerts based on equipment location.
