CleanSpark, a San Diego-based advanced microgrid software and controls company, acquired Specialized Energy Solutions (SES), a San Diego-based company that specializes in the engineering and construction of clean energy technologies.
The amount of the deal was not disclosed.
The acquisition aims to expands CleanSpark’s ability to provide clients energy security and independence, while increasing CleanSpark’s load to 6MW in 2015.
A division of Harper Construction Company, Specialized Energy Solutions focuses on commercial-scale distributed renewable energy systems for both critical defense and civil infrastructure. Founded in 2011, the company has completed a wide array of distributed solar, wind, energy storage and microgrid projects in Southern California and Arizona.
In addition to numerous Department of Defense installations, SES recently completed 4MW of ground-mounted distributed solar projects in the City of Colton, with plans for additional projects in California next year.
CleanSpark offers energy software and control technology that enables energy generated locally to be shared with other interconnected microgrids, which makes them infinitely scaled and widely adopted for commercial, industrial, military, municipal, and remote community deployment.
