The acquisition will allow Buffer to grow its social media offerings.
Founded by Tim Haines Respondly will remain a standalone tool, specifically suited for social media customer support, engagement, community, and monitoring. The new product, which will be rebranded as Respond, will be launched in January 2016.
Led by CEO Joel Gascoigne and COO Leo Widrich, Buffer will provide three solutions:
– Buffer: a social media marketing, analytics and account management platform
– Pablo: For image creation across user content and social media efforts, and
– Respond: a social media customer service and brand monitoring platform.
