Wellington Financial LP, a specialty finance firm providing growth capital to Canadian, U.S. and U.K.-based companies, closed its new investment program, at $300M.
Wellington Financial Fund V, which received support from Canadian institutional investors and family offices, is now the largest technology-focused private fund in Canada.
Fund V will continue to follow the same model of three previous entities, by assisting both public and private companies with a demonstrated customer following, minimum of $5m in trailing revenue, talented management and well-defined growth strategies.
Wellington Financial provides term, venture and amortizing loans up to $40m.
Led by Mark McQueen, President and Chief Executive Officer, the firm is currently managing $900m and has offices in Silicon Valley, Santa Monica and Toronto.
