wantoo Raises $500K in Seed Funding

wantoowantoo, a Vancouver, Canada-based platform that gives organizations data and insight to make smarter decisions on new product initiatives, raised $500k in seed funding.

Backers included unnamed angel investors in Vancouver, Calgary, and New York.

The company intends to use the funds to build out its platform and expand to markets across the United States and Canada.

Led by serial entrepreneur Michael Tippett, wantoo lets companies build communities of customers to determine the demand for new product ideas. By measuring community feedback, the platform gives organizations data by which to make decisions on new product initiatives.
The platform, which also allows users to crowdsource new product ideas, is currently being tested in a pilot program with 20 startups.

Advisors include Vision Critical founder Andrew Reid and Slack founder Stewart Butterfield, as well as a number of other Silicon Valley veterans.
