Trinity Ventures Closed Fund XII at $400M

Trinity_Ventures_LogoMenlo Park, CA-based venture capital firm Trinity Ventures closed its Fund XII at $400m.

Led by Noel Fenton, Ajay Chopra, Patricia Nakache, Karan Mehandru, Gus Tai, Dan Scholnick, Fred Wang, Larry Orr, Nina Labatt and Anjula Acharia-Bath, Trinity Ventures is an early-stage investment firm focused on four sectors:
– SaaS,
– IT infrastructure companies,
– mobile e-commerce and services, and
– digital media.

Founded 29 years ago, the firm supports its entrepreneurs both inside and outside of their ventures and through its Entrepreneur-in-Residence program. The participants of the EIR program actually work alongside the partners, sharing insight as well as office space.
This new fund adds to Trinity’s active funds, with assets under management, now totaling over $2 billion.
The firm’s most recent IPOs include New Relic, Zulily, Infoblox, TubeMogul, and MaxPoint.
