Sport Ngin Acquires Advanced Event Systems

sportnginSport Ngin, a Minneapolis, MN-based sports technology company, acquired Advanced Event Systems (AES), a Rochester, New York-based provider of event management software.

The amount of the deal was not disclosed.

Founded in 2000 and led by Brad Preston, AES provides software modules for online registration, hotel management, scheduling services, and results tracking.

The acquisition will enable Sport Ngin to strengthen its capabilities offered to volleyball tournaments and clubs. Following the close ot the transaction, the AES team has joined Sport Ngin and will continue supporting AES customers.

Led by Justin Kaufenberg, co-founder and chief executive officer, Sport Ngin operates a platform used by more than 500,000 sports organizations, teams, leagues, clubs, associations, and tournaments to grow and promote their organizations, communicate with athletes & parents, and manage competition.
