Schoology Raises $32M in Funding

schoologySchoology, a NYC-based education technology company, raised $32m in funding.

The round was led by JMI Equity, with participation from existing investors FirstMark Capital, Intel Capital, and Great Road Holdings. In conjunction with the financing, Jit Sinha, General Partner at JMI Equity, will join Schoology’s board.

The company, which has raised $57m in total funding, will use the funds to make product engineering investments and expand distribution to reach more schools, districts, colleges and universities around the globe.

Led by Jeremy Friedman, CEO, Schoology provides an education cloud that connects people, content, and systems and tools needed to personalize education and improve student outcomes.
The company’s platform is used by more than 12 million people from 60,000 K-12 schools and universities around the world.
