PowerSchool Group, LLC, a Rancho Cordova, CA-based provider of a K-12 Student Information System, acquired InfoSnap, Inc., a provider of cloud-based Online Registration Management and School Choice / Lottery solutions for K-12 public, private and charter schools.
The amount of the deal was not disclosed.
Founded in 2000 and led by Lou Trotter, CEO, InfoSnap has developed technologies that allow schools to move paper-based, labor-intensive processes including student registration and school choice/lottery online; improving data quality, enforcing compliance and reducing costs and burdens on school administrators and parents.
The acquisition strengthens the established partnership between the two companies and will allow them to grow rapidly as a combined organization.
Led by Hardeep Gulati, CEO, PowerSchool provides K-12 Student Information Systems (SIS), supporting 40 million users and over 15 million students in more than 70 countries. The acquisition adds more than three million students currently on InfoSnap products to the PowerSchool community and enables the acquiring company to address market demand for integrated registration and school choice solutions for schools, administrators, and families.
The deal also allows PowerSchool to expand its core SIS platform to address the market demand for integrated registration and school choice solutions.
