PatientPing Secures $9.6M in Funding

patientpingPatientPing, a Boston, MA-based developer of a network for healthcare facilities to share patient information, secured $9.6m in funding.

The round was led by Google Ventures and FPrime Capital with participation from First Round Capital and SV Angel.

The company intends to use the funds to expand into new States and hire new people.

Led by David Berkowicz, Lara Sinicropi-Yao, and Jay Desai, CEO, PatientPing is buiding a network of providers across the country to coordinate patient care beyond their own facilities by facilitating communication among them and sharing of critical medical information.
The company’s health technology connects healthcare providers across the country with real-time notifications and care guidelines whenever and wherever their patients receive care. The national care coordination network includes physicians, nurses, case managers, and care coordinators across hospitals, emergency departments, accountable care organizations (ACOs), physician practices, skilled nursing facilities, home health agencies, inpatient rehabilitation centers, and payers.
