InnoUp Farma Raises €2M in Funding

innoupfarmaInnoUp Farma, S.L., a Noain, Spain-based nanomedicine company focused on developing and licensing high-value therapies for major diseases with unmet medical needs, raised €2m in public-private funding.

Backers included Navarra’s Government public company Sodena, Inveready (via INNVIERTE Biotech II) and the Spain Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness.

Created in 2013 in Pamplona by Maite Agüeros, Juan Manuel Irache and Manuel Rodríguez Mariscal, InnoUp Farma develops solutions for the administration of oral drugs. Its technology platform, based on the use of nanoparticles, is advancing projects a) that enable the oral administration of anti-cancer drugs with low oral bioavailability; b) that use nanoparticles as an adjuvant in immunotherapy and vaccination; and c) new Over The Counter (OTC) products.

The company intends to use the funds to continue to develop its projects.
