Harvest Power, Inc., a Waltham MA-based provider of organics management solutions, raised $20m in funding.
Backers included True North Venture Partners (Chicago, IL), Industry Ventures (San Francisco, CA), and Generation Investment Management (London, UK).
The company intends to use the funds to execute its five-year growth plan to scale the organics management business while launching new initiatives in food waste management and renewable energy.
Founding in 2008 and led by newly appointed CEO Christian G. Kasper, who replaced Kathleen Ligocki, Harvest Power provides communities across North America with solutions to manage and re-use their organic waste through the production of renewable energy, soils, mulches and natural fertilizers. The company owns and operates facilities throughout North America in British Columbia, Ontario, California and throughout the Mid-Atlantic, Midwest states and Northeastern US.
