Flypro Raises $13M in Series A Funding

Flypro Aerospace Tech Co., Ltd., a Shenzen, China-based unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) company, raised $13m in Series A funding.

Yihua Capital made the investment.

The company intends to use the funds to expand adoption of its drones in the international market, further product research and development as well as promote the civilian use of drones.

Led by Lin Hai, founder and CEO, Flypro specializes in research and development of intelligent UAVs for use by consumers as a hobby or a sport. The company provides XEagle UAV, which enables the hobbyist to control the drone via a smart watch, allowing him/her to use the camera to accurately capture moments from multiple visual angles. The XEagle also comes equipped with several other patented functionalities, including automatic obstacle avoidance when flying at high speed, voice control, multiple security protections and a comprehensive intelligent moving camera.
Its products include an auto-tracking drone, the PX400, and smart watches as companions.
