Equipe Zorgbedrijven, an independent group of specialized clinics on 11 locations throughout the Netherlands, received a €12.5m private equity investment.
Gimv made the investment in exchange of a minority stake in the company (The transaction is subject to the approval of the competent authorities).
Equipe Zorgbedrijven intends to use the funds to expand current operations as well as to invest in additional facilities.
Led by Jak Dekker, CEO and co-founder, who will remain a significant shareholder in the group, the group now operates a chain of specialist clinics in the Netherlands (Amsterdam, Eindhoven, Enschede, Hilversum and Rotterdam), each with its own specialization:
– Xpert Clinic, which focuses on hand and wrist surgery;
– Velthuis kliniek, which provides care in the field of cosmetic surgery and dermatology; and
– Helder Kliniek, which specializes in phlebology and proctology.
