Cenergistic Receives Minority Investment from Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers

Cenergistic_LogoCenergistic, a Dallas, TX-based energy conservation company, received a minority investment from Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers.

The amount of the deal was not disclosed. In addition to the funding, Ben Kortlang, a partner in Kleiner Perkins’ Green Growth Fund, joined the Cenergistic board.

The investment gives the company access to the Kleiner Perkins network of Green Growth portfolio companies, with the potential to form alliances that could bring new products to its existing suite of solutions and open up new vertical and geographic markets.

Spears, Founder and Chairman, and Dr. Randy Hoff, CEO, Cenergistic provides a technology-powered, data-driven energy conservation platform for organizations to reduce consumption of electricity, natural gas, fuel oil and water. Its approach is built on a proprietary methodology which optimizes clients’ infrastructure, improves internal processes and changes behavior.
