Canna Group, Inc., a consulting firm to the cannabis industry, formed a private equity firm to invest in emerging growth companies within the cannabis sector.
With offices in California and Chicago, Illinois, Sugar Leaf Capital Fund I typically makes equity, debt or debt-like investments in early stage businesses enabling the cannabis industry, but which are generally ancillary to the production or processing of the plant and not subject to state regulations.
Key areas of interest include: Financial, Payments & Banking; Grow Systems, Agriculture & Operations; Software, Digital & Internet; Chemistry, Science & Genetics; and Business Services.
