Avendus Capital, a Mumbai, India-based financial services firm providing customized solutions in the areas of financial advisory and wealth management, received an investment from private equity firm KKR.
KKR is making its investment from its Asian Fund II purchasing shares from Eastgate Capital and Americorp Ventures, an early investor in Avendus. Further details of the transaction, subject to customary regulatory approvals, were not disclosed.
The company intends to use the funds to expand its credit solutions business and to grow its wealth and alternative asset management solutions.
Led by co-founders Ranu Vohra, Gaurav Deepak and Kaushal Aggarwal, who will continue to manage the platform’s day-to-day operations and its growth into the new businesses, Avendus Capital is a financial services firm, which provides customized solutions in the areas of financial advisory and wealth management. The firm, which also has offices in Gurgaon and Bangalore, offers research based solutions to clients including institutional investors, corporates and high net worth families.
It also operates Avendus Capital, Inc (US) and Avendus Capital (UK) Pvt. Ltd., a New York and London wholly owned subsidiaries offering M&A and Private Equity syndication services to clients in the respective regions.
