Authess, a Boston, MA-based edtech company, raised $675k in seed funding.
Backers included a mix of investors from the United States and Manipal Global Education, from India.
The company will use the funds for product development and servicing its early customers.
Led by CEO Paul Crockett, Authess focuses on the design and delivery of performance-based assessments that encourage creative problem solving and determine a learner’s ability to apply his or her knowledge.
The company is a graduate from the LearnLaunch Accelerator spring 2015.
