Mindjet Corporation, the parent company of Spigit, a San Francisco, CA-based provider for crowdsourcing innovation, raised $13m in financing.
The round was led by current investor Investor Growth Capital.
The company intends to use the funds to amplify global sales and marketing efforts, as well as expand research and development.
Led by Spigit and Mindjet CEO Scott Raskin, Spigit provides crowdsourcing software that allows companies to leverages crowds familiar with a company to solve and execute business demands. to invent new products, identify new markets, improve customer experience, streamline processes, and increase employee engagement with innovation management.
Spigit is used by companies in the financial services, insurance, systems integration, pharmaceutical, healthcare, and technology sectors. Customers include Citigroup, Pfizer, UnitedHealth Group, IBM, Polaris Industries, and PricewaterhouseCoopers (PWC).
The company has offices throughout the U.S., U.K., France, Germany, and Australia.
