Skurt Raises $1.3m in Seed Funding

skurtSkurt, a Los Angeles, CA-based Rental car delivery startup, raised $1.3m in seed funding.

Backers included Upfront Ventures, Adam Goldstein (Hipmunk CEO), Errol Damelin (Wonga founder), Mark Troughton (Whisper President) and Scott Marlette (GoodRx Co-founder).

The company intends to use the funds to expand the service nationally, initially through major markets, beyond Los Angeles, where it is live giving access to an inventory of 5,000 cars. It is hiring

Led by Josh Mangel, Harry Hurst and Aaron Peck, Skurt allows users to log into the app, select a price point, enter a location, date and time, payment details. When they arrive at the airport, they are expected by a concierge waiting to take them to a car.
The company will soon introduce a neighborhood delivery service that will allow users to book a car to be delivered to desired location.
