SimpleCitizen, a Salt Lake City, Utah-based provider of solutions to streamline the immigration process, raised $700k in seed funding.
The round was led by Utah-based Kickstart Seed Fund, with participation from Peterson Partners, Pelion Venture Partners, Apple Tree Capital, and Jacob Sapochnick.
The company intends to use the funds for development, such as adding processing capabilities for different types of visas and green card renewals, and increase of marketing efforts.
Launched in July 2015 by Sam Stoddard, CEO, SimpleCitizen provides an online solution to help users ease the complex, multi-year U.S. green cards and citizenship process that three million people go through every year.
At the end of the SimpleCitizen process, a customer can expect accurate, completed documents ready to submit to the USCIS.
