Service Raises $3.1M in Seed Funding

serviceService, a Los Angeles, CA-based on demand startup that handles customer service issues for consumers, raised $3.1m in seed funding.

The round was led by Founders Fund with participation from Menlo Ventures, Maveron, Eight Ventures, Arena Ventures and Alex Bard, Tikhon Bernstam, Brenden Mulligan and Robin Chan.

The company, which has raised a total of $3.64m to date, intends to use the funds to accelerate software development and drive more consumer adoption.

Led by Michael Schneider, Founder and CEO, Service handles customer service issues for consumers on demand. To date, the company has saved more than $100,000 for consumers with half of that coming in just the last 30 days with consumers aged between 15-90 using the service especially in the categories of travel, telecommunications and retail.
While Service is currently helping resolve issues worldwide, the majority of customer cases originate in the United States, United Kingdom, Canada and Australia.
