John Wiley and Sons Inc. (NYSE: JWA and JWB), a global provider of knowledge and knowledge-enabled research, professional practice, and education services, acquired Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania-based AnalystSuccess.com and related content from The American College of Financial Services.
The amount of the deal was not disclosed. The acquisition aims to position Wiley as a market leader in the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Program. The company already runs online test preparation for the CPA, CMA, CIA and PMP designations.
The Analyst Success CFA study program provides candidates with a learning experience to prepare the CFA exams. Developed by a team led by Frank Stalla, it combines subject-matter experts, content, and learning technology to allow students pass the CFA exams globally.
Wiley will reach out to Analyst Success students directly in the weeks ahead to guide them through the transition.
Through the Research segment, Wiley provides digital and print scientific, technical, medical, and scholarly journals, reference works, books, database services, and advertising. The Professional Development segment provides digital and print books, online assessment and training services, and test prep and certification. In Education, it offers education solutions including online program management services for higher education institutions and course management tools for instructors and students, as well as print and digital content.
