IronNet Cybersecurity Raises $32.5M in Series A Funding

IronNet Cybersecurity, a Washington, DC-based provider of cybersecurity solutions, raised $32.5m in Series A funding.

The round was led by Trident Capital Cybersecurity with participation from Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers (KPCB). In conjunction with the funding, Ted Schlein, General Partner of KPCB, will join IronNet’s existing board of directors.

The company intends to use the funds to continue developing its cybersecurity solution.

Founded in 2014 by CEO Keith Alexander, IronNet has developed technology that employs advanced behavioral models and petabyte-scale analytics to enable real-time visualization of a company’s entire cyber infrastructure and to detect anomalous activity and support proactive mitigation.
